Time for a little blog bonus!

Today, after the test, we watched a portion of the American Classic video series...about "American Icons". Now, Webster’s New American Dictionary defines the term “icon” as.. “A sacred image, especially of Christ, Mary, or a saint.” The video gave you multiple examples of "sacred" American images.

Now, what do you consider to be an American Icon. Choose something [other than those examples given to you by the video] and explain why you consider it to be an “American Icon”.

Write your answer out on a piece of paper...giving what the icon is and explaining why it should be considered an icon.  Place your answer in one of the black trays before class starts on Wednesday.  Those who dare to complete this assignment (with a reasonable answer, argument & effort* - my discretion) will receive five bonus points added to today's test.

*Those that look like they were done during passing period after they saw someone else turn one in...probably won't cut it!
