Trip to Nuremberg...

Today we went with a large group of German students to visit Nuremberg.  We took a double-decker style charter from Gars.  While there we visited the museum of the documentation center for the Nazi Party Rally grounds.  This was located in the Congress Hall building project from Adolf Hitler...one of the many massive building projects that were never completed.  During the tour we had English audio guides, leading us through the displays.  They showed the growth of the party in German politics and the importance of Nuremberg to the party.
From there we went to the old city center.  At one time, Nuremberg was the most important city in medieval Germany.  We saw a couple of churches, and a few of us made the long up-hill trek to the castle.  The view was really cool...I would love to show the pictures, but at present time I cannot find the cord to upload the pictures from my phone...oops.  I will find it and get them online soon.  Sorry.  Tomorrow is our last day at Gars and they are having a send off party for us tomorrow night.  Wednesday we are to meet at the Munich airport at 7:00 am...we are leaving Haag at 6:00 :( .  Then off to the good ole USA.  Hopefully I will be able to upload some pics tomorrow.  Until then Guten Abend!
